Volunteering: Amateur athletics benefits the community as a whole, strengthening community and social ties.
Like most organizations, Langley Fastball Association relies on dedicated volunteers in order to offer the very best programs possible.
As our Learn to Play families are new to softball we don't want to overwhelm anyone. LTP families will NOT be required to complete 4 hours of volunteer time per player but will be once their child moves to U8.
If you are able to commit to more, or are looking to offer a unique service that we hadn’t thought of, please contact our volunteer coordinator directly. lfavolunteerco@gmail.com
The U9 is the exciting bridge between ‘Learn to play’ and the U11 division. We will introduce more of the rules, and rotate through the different positions on the field.
The evening is broken up into 2 parts. The first half is used as a practice to teach the players the rules and skills of softball through fun games and drills. The second half is used to play a modified game where every player hits and runs the based.
Coaches pitch and players can use a batting-T if necessary. The goal is to give every player the ability to succeed. Please make note of your school friends and we will do our best to group players with some their friends.

This is the last division that is encompassed in the Softball Canada Learn to Play program.
We will introduce more of the rules, run games with real umpires and develop pitching and other skills throughout the season.
Teams will play at local parks in Langley, then will start to travel a bit more in the second half of the season, with some games scheduled in Walnut Grove.
Each evening will include 2 parts:
The first half is used as a practice to teach the players the rules and skills of softball through fun games and drills.
The second half is used to play a modified game. Depending on availability Umpires may be provided for games.
There may also be one practice a week, dependent on the coach.
This is the first division that we have player pitchers. Coaches will also pitch after a pre-determined number of pitches.
Birth Years: 2014 & 2015
Game Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Times: 5:45pm – Start of practice/part 1.
6:30pm – approx. 8pm. – Game with Umpire.
